The past couple of year after creating a PalTalk username I've done two things, reconnected with my high school best friend Terry Gray and found a chat room I can do more than chat in, I can sing. Yes, you read that right, sing; Karaoke that is.
First let me tell you about Terry and how PalTalk made us reconnecting more possible than Facebook did. I've known Terry Gray since meeting him at Apollo Jr. High between 1977 and 1979 but we didn't really become best friends until we became neighbors after I moved into his neighborhood one street over from him around the time I started attending classes at Antioch High School when it was still on Blue Hole Road. Terry and I spent a lot of time together as teens then in 1984 he graduated from high school leaving me without my best friend at which time I found myself getting into lots of trouble and over the years after we lost touch I never found anyone that treated me half as good as Terry did. Then on April 29th that all changed when he looked me up on Facebook and asked me to friend him at which time my only reaction was, "No way!" "That can't be Terry Gray, my high school best friend!" so, after getting over the shock of him finding me after I had tried for the past 4 months or so to find him there he was ready to be reconnected to me so I clicked on Accept Request or something like that. Soon after I clicked he and I were in Facebook Messenger but I hated that FB Messenger kept hanging up or stalling while we chatted so I suggested he create a PalTalk username which he soon did and then soon after we were chatting every day then we both chose to connect a webcam which meant we both were gonna finally see if either of us had changed much which we hadn't.
Terry and I chatted day in and day out. When he was off we were chatting. When his work day ended we were chatting that was until October 29th 2011 after my life had taken a drastic turn for the worst or better it turned out because that was the day that Terry and I were truly reconnected, it was the day we were reunite. On that day we saw each other face to face once again and found out that the friendship love we had as teens was more then than we thought and hadn't fizzled out over the 27 years we were apart. Terry was the same loving, kind, understanding man I remembered from my teen years and from how he tells it the only thing that's changed about me is the length and color of my hair, it was short when I was a teenager and I was a natural brunette but at the time I had red hair which he tells me he loves especially when I've got curls in it. I believe that PalTalk allowed Terry and I to regain the friendship we had as teens and made our reuniting special because we were able to say the things we never said back then and reuniting in October was the start of us finding what we never discovered, that we truly were in love with each other when we were teens but too scared to ruin our friendship to pursue any other kind of relationship but the friendship we had at the time. Today we both give each other the freedom to express our feelings without fear and that's another thing that having PalTalk allowed us to do, express our feelings without fear.
After being back in my home state TN I've found I have a lot more time on my hands than I thought possible since a lot of the things that were expected of me where I used to live aren't expected of me now so I've been doing a lot of things like starting my own AVON business, doing some art projects online, editing photos and singing Karaoke online through PalTalk Messenger. I love Karaoke and since I can't get out often enough to sing Karaoke among a crowd I do it online and I've fond this cool chat room to do it in that goes by the name, the Goodtimes Music Respect Room which I found after a Karaoke chat room I used to frequent closed and I found myself craving to sing with no outlet so after a little search I found this one. I love the Goodtimes Music Respect Room because it's so versatile with members playing music as well as singing from every genre in every language but that's not all. You get to meet people from all over the globe from the USA to as far away as Russia or even Vietnam. The DJs or KJs are cool too and also from all over the world. When I'm bored or just want to interject a little musical fun into my day I just log into my PalTalk and look it up in my favorites and I'm instantly connected to my room. The room I've heard has been in operation for a long time and has hosted something like 4 million members which I've been told has made it the most popular chat room of all chat rooms and it's easy to listen and hear why because everyone is so respectful and patient meaning everyone knows how to wait their turn. It's simple really, just click on the Raise Hand button and wait for your turn, pick up the mic by clicking Lock Mic or Lock Mic On button and then have your music or Karaoke cued up to sing and then have fun. All but once genre is allowed, that being rap because a lot of the lyrics in most rap songs are not appropriate kid/family friendly room which also means no adult or foul language or you'll get the boot. I think I'm gonna keep the Goodtimes Music Respect Room and continue singing my heart out and I invite you to join me so, if you find yourself bored or just want to interject a little musical fun into your otherwise ho hum day go to PalTalk's website, create a username and then look for the Goodtimes Music Respect Room in the music section of Join a Chat Room then choose Karaoke. Once you've found, select it then click on it and make sure you say Hey, Howdee or just Hi and maybe if you think of it tell them Teri or 2Ts2Hrtz4Evr2gether sent ya, suggested the room or just say that you read about it here and wanted to check it out for yourself and maybe I'll see you there chances are you will.

Keeping in touch
When I'm not reading, sleeping, watching TV or cleaning up around the house I like to surf the Internet and one of the things I do is keep in touch with old and new friends through various avenues like Facebook, IMVU and some times MySpace but regardless of how I keep in touch it's just a blessing to know that I have a way to stay in the know of what everyone is doing in their lives. I enjoy seeing what my family is doing around the holidays and special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries and I like that I can send them messages so they know I'm thinking about them. For a while I wondered about my classmates from Antioch High School and Glencliff Comprehensive High School but I don't have to wonder anymore, not since social networks like Facebook and MySpace were created allowing me to get back in touch with those people from high school I spent most of my enjoyable teen years attending classes and participating and various school activities.
Being able to use the different social networks Facebook and MySpace has allowed me to share photos, chat with family and friends and share my thoughts and ideas whenever I choose and allows me to know when someone is moving or has moved, gotten married, having or had children or some other life change that is relevant to their life presently and being able to read about their lives has made me feel like a part of their lives too which means that somehow just for the few seconds or minutes I take reading and posting on those social networks I'm able to have a glimpse into the lives of those who at one time before social networks I only wondered what was going on so now I don't have to wonder I can just go to any one of those social networks and read how my children, aunts, uncles or cousins and or classmates and any other friends are up to and then I'm up to date on their lives just in case their ones that I see or hear from on a regular basis. Keeping in touch for me is a vital part of my life because then I don't feel like an outsider like I used too. I don't mind meeting new people so if you're ever by Facebook or MySpace look me up under either terilm@cox.net or Teri Lane Muckleroy so I can add you and then we can keep in touch too.
